IP Series Cylinder

Double-acting hydropneumatic cylinder with standard piston sealing for hydraulic force generation and pneumatic return. Reservoir pneumatic force pushes mildly pressurised oil for the initial approach stroke. Reservoir can be separated and piped to the main cylinder.
Double-acting design — IP Series
All Brrit cylinder series are double-acting hydropneumatic systems. The power stroke uses intensified oil pressure in the hydraulic section (no external hydraulic power pack on the standard designs). Approach and return are pneumatic (and reservoir-assisted) so the ram can be driven in both working directions.
- Hydraulic force: standard piston sealing in the hydraulic section for power-stroke force generation.
- Return: pneumatic force on the other side of the arrangement.
- Approach: pneumatic force from the reservoir pushes mildly pressurised oil into the hydraulic section for the initial approach stroke.
- Packaging: reservoir can be separated from the main cylinder and attached with a pipe (remote reservoir).
